Cannabinoids (one of which is Cannabidiol) are present in both Marijuana and Hemp. There are over 85 cannabinoids in Marijuana and/or Hemp. Two of which that are frequently discussed are Tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) and Cannabidiol (CBD). By this statement, we see that THC and CBD, while similar, are not the same. THC is “psychoactive”, thus causing a ‘high’, while CBD is not. CBD is generally thought to have more medicinal uses than THC does.
CBD can be extracted from hemp and from marijuana. But, if its extracted from marijuana, it falls under the legality issues which vary from state to state. This is why we DO NOT carry any products on our website that have CBD extracted from marijuana. We only carry products that have CBD extracted from hemp. And, yes, CBD is extracted from plants. When it is, generally other compounds, such as THC, can be extracted, too. But, since hemp has only trace amounts of THC to begin with, any extract from hemp will not have enough THC to cause anyone to get ‘high’.
Yes. Our CBD products have less than .03% THC which is within the legal supplement limit in the United States.
Besides being Veteran & Woman owned, and being one of the first companies in Wisconsin to launch CBD,our products come from the highest quality, all natural farms. We process our CBD from various parts of the plant and there is never any chemicals in the processing. Our farms are ONLY in the U.S. and the processing happens in an FDA approved lab. EACH BATCH of full spectrum CBD we receive is independently lab tested, and we don’t accept anything under 80% purity. Most of our CBD is at 90% or higher. We also will only use MCT as filler, derived from coconut oil and our flavorings are from all natural fruit terpines.
Many companies are capitalizing on the latest “CBD craze”. Unfortunately, that means that many other products on the market today are not pure and most of the very inexpensive bottles of CBD oil are derived from seeds. The efficacy and purity of these products is sub par, at best. At Native Roots Hemp, we provide the highest quality CBD oil products on the market today at the most affordable rates. In fact, if you find a product with our same quality standards at a lower price, we’ll match it!
The answer is not as easy as it might seem. Each individual has a unique metabolism, which means every person’s body processes CBD in a slightly different way – one person’s body may absorb, process and clear CBD quite quickly, for example, while CBD might remain in another person’s body for a long time. Taking the right amount provides maximum benefits, but determining the right amount to take can be tricky. You might need to take more if you carry around extra body weight, for example, or if you are experiencing significant symptoms.
Again, EVERYONE IS DIFFERENT, so you can play with these answers as you see fit. But, generally, the best way to take these products, especially drops, is to put it under your tongue for about a minute and a half, then swallow. If you don’t like the taste, then you can put it in cold liquids, but know it will generally be a little less effective and might require you to increase your serving size some. What time of day you take it generally doesn’t matter, nor does it matter about an empty stomach or not.
We have never heard of anyone feeling high when using our products.
You can store these in a cabinet in the kitchen/pantry away from the stove/heat. Typically, just store at room temperature, out of direct sunlight. For the products that are typically more solid, if your home is slightly too warm causing the products to be softer than you wish, you CAN store them in the refrigerator to harden them some. However, this is not required. Shelf life for most of these products is 2 years.
Due to federal regulations, we cannot make claims about whether or not natural CBD hemp oil can help with specific ailments. We do however urge everyone to research the widely available information online. You can easily find many resources about CBD hemp oil and its possible benefits.
We would never sacrifice quality by providing a synthetic CBD or CBD isolate blend. We use a whole plant extract that is rich in cannabinoids, terpenes, and other beneficial oils. The Hadassah Medical School at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem sought to compare the effectiveness of a completely purified CBD extract versus a full-spectrum extract of cannabis flowers containing large quantities of CBD. The conclusion of the study was that the whole plant extract, which contained a large percentage of CBD but also contained traces of the other cannabinoids, proved far more effective than CBD-only solutions in alleviating inflammation and pain sensation.
Definitely not. Standard hemp seed oil, which can be found very cheaply at a grocery store, is a much different product than our full-spectrum hemp extracts (not from seed). Standard hemp seed oil is produced by cold pressing the seeds, whereas our hemp extract is a full plant extraction with many components not typically found in the seeds. Hemp seed oil is considered to be a great nutritive food, but it doesn’t have the naturally occurring terpenes, cannabinoids and other components that our extracts do have.
Most people will start to see the benefits of taking CBD Oil immediately that day or up to 2 weeks after starting a daily regimen. The length of time depends on the individual’s body weight and how well their metabolism works with the CBD Oil.
Full Spectrum Is all the good things you get from a plant. The good things come from a wide range of cannabinoids, terpenes, antioxidants, nutrients and other plant compounds present in the hemp plant. It can provide a greater effect than CBD alone as all the cannabinoids work together, as nature intended, in what is known as the Entourage Effect.
The entourage effect is when the various compounds of a full spectrum CBD hemp oil are combined, their benefit is greater than what you’d receive from each individual component. This is also what we call synergy: the whole is greater than the sum of its parts. There are over 100 ‘identified’ compounds in the cannabis plant. While most of these compounds have their own therapeutic benefits, they combine synergistically* to provide far better results.
